Origlite COB Fluorescent Tube Light Attaining 130-140 LM/W in Lighting Efficiency

Origlite COB fluorescent  tube has attained 130-140 lm/W in lighting efficiency. This  kind  of  COB  caters  to  the  need  for  high  light  efficiency,  energy  saving  and environment protection  which  LED  lighting  should  serve. Origlite  believes  that  the  breakthrough  to  attain 130-140 lm/W  in  light  efficiency  of its fluorescent tube COB will have positive effects on Origlite¡¯s operation and financial conditions.

 

LED (semi-conductor illumination) is increasingly accepted by people and applied in their daily lives as a brand new light source whose development is closely related to the public¡¯s demand  for lighting. When approximating to theoretical transfer efficiency, LED enjoys longer life of  service of 25000 hours than traditional light source such as fluorescent light and incandescent lamp, at least extend the useful life of 2-3 years. Being generally priced 5-10 times higher over that of traditional lamps, however, LED lights are principally applied for commercial lighting and public lighting. As commercial lighting and public lighting require higher lighting efficiency and reliability of LED lighting products, it is inevitable to develop new types of light source with efficiency, reliability, safety and durability.

 

To satisfy the LED lighting market¡¯s request for high lighting efficiency of LED lighting products,

Origlite has developed 130-140lm/W fluorescent tube COB. This kind of COB caters to the need for high lighting efficiency, energy saving and environment protection which LED lighting should serve. Meanwhile, the high-performance LED fluorescent tube COB can significantly reduce the costs of LED design and overall solutions.

 

The following four core technologies internally developed by Origlite are embodied in COB fluorescent tube.

 

1. High reflectivity coating: the reflectivity with special coating is 4.5% higher than that of traditional silver surface, resulting in a significant raise in lighting efficiency of COB.

 

2. Standalone reflector: the traditional COB sealing generally employs a whole reflector which  causes side lights of a chip to be absorbed interactively as most chips applied are flat structural  with approximately 20% side lights. That would impact lighting efficiency of the entire COB. This  design employs a standalone reflector so as to avoid interactive absorption of sight lights between chips.

 

3. All metal reflector technology: currently, LED sealing structure is majorly made with PPA and  copper slices. As the reflectivity of a silver surface on the metal is higher than that of PPA, application of an all metal reflector can greatly increase lighting efficiency of LED.

 

4. Silica gel improvement technology: currently, silica gel has a general reflectivity of around 1.53. When silica gels are mixed with nanometer materials, the reflectivity is improved which in turn increases lighting efficiency of COB.

 

The advantages of Origlite COB fluorescent light tube include:

1. Prominent lighting efficiency: the fluorescent light tube COB embodies four technologies independently developed by Origlite, which raises its lighting efficiency over 130-140lm/W. A fluorescent light tube with such a COB offers a 35%-higher lighting efficiency in general.

 

2. Low thermoresistance and excellent reliability: the innovative COB has a shorter and straighter  radiation route, which goes chip -> chip glue -> aluminium base board, while the traditional SMD  (surface mounted device) light source, when used in the fluorescent light tube, has a much  higher thermoresistance with its radiation route going chip -> chip glue ->bracket -> Pin ->soldering tin ->insulation layer ->aluminium base board.

 

3. Easy assembly: the COB adopts integrated encapsulation where chip-mounting and solder-reflow processes are spared, making it easier to apply.

 

Origlite raised the lighting efficiency of LED fluorescent light tube COB up to 130-140lm/W and that of the LED fluorescent light tube over 130 lm/W with its four independently-developed technologies. Moreover, encapsulation with metal base board has significantly reduced the thermoresistance of the LED fluorescent light tube COB, making it an ideal solution for the LED commercial lighting and public lighting which require the LED light source to be highly efficient and reliable. Meanwhile, the high-performance LED fluorescent light tube COB can significantly reduce the costs of LED design and overall solutions, leading LED lighting technology into a new era and stepping up the pace of LED entering the lighting market. Currently, the fluorescent light tube COB technology is under aging test in the lab and is expected to commence mass production in the fourth quarter of the year.

positive effects on Origlite, and create valuable opportunities for Origlite to expand its product sales.
